PEN PORTRAIT:You may remember Julian playing Dopey the "dwarf" in 2002, running around with underwear on his head, and also as a courtier in 2001. He also was a henchman in 1994 and in the chorus in 1996. He has also played another dopey type of character, Scarper - not that we are typecasting him !!
Once he gets the nerves out of the way his portrayal of characters really shines through - a natural!
Julian is married to Jackie who played Will Scarlet in our 1994 pantomime. They have 3 children - one of them, Rosalyn made her debut in Cinderella.
Julian says he got involved in panto because of the fellowship of the group, having a good laugh in a fun environment, while working hard to entertain the audience. He has aspirations of starring in Hollywood (!).
He works as an engineer for aircraft engine design and has also been a pilot of a 737 flying from Lulsgate to Filton (on a flight simulator he hastens to add!).
